Conservation through awareness

The Shark Trust works to advance the worldwide conservation of sharks through science, education, influence and action. The Trust works together with the general public and a wide range of specialist groups including divers, boat owners, politicians and fishermen.

The Trust is in favour of sustainably managed fisheries and works with both commercial and recreational fishers and their representative organisations in a bid to secure a future for elasmobranch stocks.

The Trust is the UK member and secretariat to the European Elasmobranch Association and is a founder member of Shark Alliance.
