Malta Holidays

We run a number of holidays each year to Malta.

It is a fantastic place to experience clear blue and warm water diving. Steep in amazing history from the order of the Knights of St. John, Suleiman the Magnificent who laid siege, Napoleon Bonaparte's fleet arrived in 1798 and the trials of World War Two.

The amazing history of this small isalnd along with it's partner Gozo make for some of the best diving in the world.

Sun, sand, warm water, cold beer and lots of relaxing, sound good?

John Campbell from DiveStyle has booked a trip to DiveWise in Malta.
DiveWise will collect us from the airport for 10 Euros per person return trip.
Dives are reduced to 19 Euros per dive from the usual 28 Euros.
DiveWise have been very good and kept the 10 dive pack for the same price as last year will be offered at 190 Euros... includes cylinder and weights if we can get 10 or more divers on the trip.
Nitrox is 5 Euros per fill / Gozo approx 12 Euros per person

If you have completed your confined water dives and you want to complete your qualifying dives (using 4 of your dive package) for just £100 then Malta this is the perfect place to do it.

Fancy doing your Advanced Open Water? Use 5 dives from your 10 dive package and DiveStyle will complete you Advanced Open Water for £180!

Fancy doing a deep or wreck speciality for £120? What better place than Malta. Blue, clear and warm with some fantastic dive venues.

Here are some of the dive sites on offer:

The Blue Hole

The blue hole
A bit of a walk/rock climb in your kit to get there, but absolutely worth it! Drop into the frothing waters of the blue hole, and once you're underneath its all peaceful. Sink down to 15m or so to swim out through the Blue Hole. You can either visit the coral gardens, cave and chimney, or go for an exit at the Inland Sea.

The P29 Patrol Boat

P29 malta
The wreck of the P29 was scuttled on the 14th August 2007, just off Cirkewwa reef, intentionally for divers. Even though this wreck has only been underwater a relatively short amount of time, the marine life is starting to build and big schools of fish and marine life are starting to make this wreck their new home.

The Rozi - Tug Boat

Rozi Malta
The wreck of The Rozi was deliberately sunk in 1991 as an underwater attraction for Captain Morgan's Underwater Safari Tours intended as a submarine tourist attraction. The Rozi, a 40 meter long tug boat, sits upright on the sandy seabed, just off Cirkewwa reef.

The Inland Sea in Gozo, June 2010. Only a quick ferry ride from Malta.

Malta RECNICAL - 11th - 18th of June 2011

We like to keep things fresh at DiveStyle so we decided to invent a new type of holiday. We are pleased to introduce the RECNICAL holiday!

What is a recnical holiday? Simple we combine technical and recreational divers on the same holiday.

Tim and I are planning such a Technical and Recreational dive week in Malta in June this year.

We’re all set to fly out to Malta on Saturday the 11th of June 2011, returning on the 18th and all we need now are some divers.

We plan to have two groups of divers to allow for different skill levels, but use the same dive centre and accommodation for everyone.

The technical group will get four dives in the 50 to 60m range during the week (depending on group ability). On one day we will join up with everyone else and do two dives as a group. The rest of the group will get two guided dives per day including a one day trip to Gozo. We can also cater for non-divers who just fancy a week in the sun at the same time.

If you want to be part of the technical group, but are worried about not being qualified to the right depth, TDI instructor Mark Powell will be accompanying us on the trip and we can arrange for TDI training to take place either before we go, or while we’re out there. If you’re interested in this, let me know and I’ll put you in touch directly with Mark.

If you would like to be part of the technical group, then for €610 for the week you get:

  • A 12L twinset.
  • A single stage cylinder (a second stage is €5 or €7.50 per day depending on size).
  • Weights.
  • Air fills.
  • Four technical dives from a hard boat with surface support and deco rigged shot line.
  • Two recreational dives (on the same day) with the rest of the group.
  • Transport to and from the dive sites.
  • 7 nights accommodation based on sharing a twin room/apartment.
  • Transfers from and to the airport.

Not including:

  • Nitrox, O2 or He
  •  Flights

If you need to rent any other equipment, or if you’re going to use a re-breather, let me know.

So thats the techinal now for the recreational!

The recreational holiday will be €440 for the week including :

  • A 12L cylinder
  • Weights
  • Optional full kit hire (€80 for the week)
  • Air fills
  • Two instructor guided dives a day
  • One day trip to Gozo
  • Transport to and from the dive sites
  • 7 nights accommodation based on sharing a twin room/apartment
  • Transfers from and to the airport

Not including

  • Nitrox
  • Flights

Please contact John Campbell (jc@divestyle.co.uk) if you’re interested, or if you know someone that would like to join either group.

We will need to limit the numbers in both groups to be able to fit everyone in so please let me know as soon as you can.

A deposit will be required from everyone in late March.
