Advanced Open Water Diver programme

The Adventures in Diving programme offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification. If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Why Advanced Open Water Diver?
After your five dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment.

What do I need to start?
PADI Open Water Diver certification (or a qualifying certification from another organisation)
Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for the PADI Junior Adventure Diver and PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
Medically fit for the experience, complete our Medical Form

What will I do?

This certification includes 5 Adventure Dives: the Deep Adventure Dive, the Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive and three of the following:

Boat Diver
Drift Diver
Dry Suit Diver
Diver Propulsion Vehicle
Multilevel Diver
Night Diver
Peak Performance Buoyancy
Search and Recovery Diver
Underwater Naturalist
Underwater Photographer
Underwater Navigator
AWARE Fish Identification
Wreck Diver

How long will it take?
One evening and 2 days’ of diving over one weekend. If you haven’t dived recently we recommend the PADI Scuba Tune-Up prior to the open water dives.

What will I need?
We supply all materials as part of the course. These will include:
The PADI Adventures in Diving Crew-Pak
All equipment needed for any pool training plus all major items for the open water dives. Students are expected to own basic equipment (mask, fins, snorkel, boots and gloves) although these are available to hire.

Where can I go from here?
PADI Advanced Open Water Divers can enroll in PADI Wreck or Deep Diver Specialty courses and continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver course, which is probably the best course you will ever do.

PADI Adventure Dives can also credit towards the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver certifications. Contact DiveStyle for more information on the PADI Adventures In Diving programme.
